DUALDDR ram ... which? [corsair XMS vs. TWINX]

I just got an nforce2 board, I'm planning to run dualddr ... have two deals both for the same price, so its all about the hardware now.

2x256mb Corsair cmx256-3200c2

or

Corsair TWINX512-2700LL(Low Latency) 512MB DDR333 XMS2700 2x32Mx64 2x184 DIMM CAS2 32Mx8 DRAMs Dual-Channel Memory w/Black Heat Spreader [2 sticks of 256]

which would give me better performance?

also something odd i noticed is that:
why is it that package ram (ex: Corsair TWINX512-3200LL) cost more than 2 sticks of the same stuff?
look here:
http://www.googlegear.com/jsp/Produ...goryCode=011116

#16 is $217
#18 is the same ram sticks but only $95 each ... so 190 together

is there something special about TWINX?

both choices are Low Latency, both run at 2-2-2-6

...

Corsair markets its TwinX as having been tested as a pair in an nForce2 and/or Granite Bay board to ensure that they will work together in dual-channel mode.

I'm not sure how much of an issue it is, though, if you get two identical sticks of RAM from the same company.
