I did post to resellerratings, so hopefully others won't deal with this company either. I tried calling back, but I think it's a 2 or 3 person shop, and it appears that he's the top of the food chain there.
How sad. With that kind of service, I can't imagine them being in business for long.

Did that before I posted here.

Yes, but I have 2 points on this.
1) I'm an end user. I don't have an endless budget to spend on hardware. I have to BEG for funding approval from my Boss/Manager/Accountant/Wife...

If I can save 50$ on something, because one vendor can get a better deal than another.. then I may be willing to take a little chance!
2) If someone advertises a price for something, and turns around and doesn't sell the product for that price it's called FALSE ADVERTISING. This may be new to some.. but that's illegal.
If you're ever in one of the major computer/electronics chain stores (I won't mention names here)... and notice that the price on the shelf is marked incorrectly (wrong item, something like that)... take it to the counter, and when they ring it up, tell them that the price on the register is wrong, and what the price on the shelf is. I'd put odds that they will honor their price mistake. This is due to lawsuits that the corporation has received for price fruad/false advertising in the past.
Now I'm sure that this maw and paw shop doesn't care about that.. but had they bitten the bullet and sold the product for their advertised price in the first place...
OR
Had they simply been curtious enough to explain to me that they simply made a mistake and had been so kind as to give free shipping, or somehow make an attempt to make up for their mistake rather than calling me an F'ing idiot... they could have avoided this whole mess.
Hope this better explains my perspective on the situation.
Thanks,
John
