CC charged but no shipment made!

I emailed and said my order was cancelled, but will be getting more next week if i'm willing to wait. that would be a total of 2 week afer place order. funny, how can my order be cancelled and cc charged??? then said if i like to wait, they are getting more sometime next week, well who does??? this i cannot tolerate because they are holding my money and shoving me into back orders! just plain horrible and very shady business practice. www.ikordesign.com
There is only 1 review thought at resellerratings, and one guy said responded to my email. very pleased. bahahahah! ugh what good does that do? wouldn't i be better off ordering from somewhere else that have this item in stock and can ship within 24hrs??? what are they thinking?

Yes, that is shady.
One thing I always take a look at is a company's policy on CC orders.
Any good company will state that they will not bill your card untill your order is in the process of being shipped.
Call the CC company and tell them about the problem.
Unfortunatly I think your only recourse is going to persue having the credit put back to your CC.

oh i am very upset at this moment, charged once then charged again twice hoping i don't notice? Grrr. I have complained via email. if I dont see any refund this week, i will keep bothering them until they do. much hassle has got me so fed up that anyone who does this is obviously untrustworthy and i will tell other to stay away too. i think they live right next door to you lol

You must WRITE your credit card company immediately. Look at your last credit card bill for the address and instructions. If this goes over 30 days you may be SOL! Recently I have run across many retailers of pc parts that are not stocking the parts. They say the parts are in stock but then don't ship them for a week after you place the order. Because they didn't have them in the first place. If I place an order and it doesn't ship in 48 hours I cancel it and shop elsewhere.

There's probably a BBB in Skokie, or at least one in the area. They should be informed if the company won't give you your money back.

I'd dispute the charges soon, too, like Elroy said. The sooner you let your credit card company know, the better things are. I think you can ask them to not allow any more charges from that company or something.

No need to rush it. I have patient and will give them time to reverse the charge. Who knows? they are doing it for their own convenient but it is kind of immoral. I will only go that far if they refuse to refund within a week. so I do try to work things out with them, maybe some folk don't mind having their CC charge as long as they get their stuff much later but I don't have the patient for it and neither do most folk like your. I made my order elsewhere which will be shipped asap because they have a ton like 175. The funny thing is, it is only 1.50 instead of 2.50 per ps/2 genica mouse. so i saving money too! unbelivable and i have ordered many time from this one http://66.216.68.88/ they are reliable, and don't charge until shipped like most other good vendors.

I never buy from resellers that charge immediately when you place the order. More legitimate resellers simply authorize your CC and only charge when actually shipped. Read policy before placing order and most important look at their RR and make sure have at least 100 ratings.

I posted this in another thread, but it fits here too, so I am pulling it over.

A little info on how stopping payment/getting a refund works... I have gone through the process once, and I have a sister that works for one of the largest credit card companies, who accurately informed me of how the process is handled.

The merchant has 30 days from when they state the goods will be recieved to actually do that. After the 30 days, if you have not gotten the goods, you can file a complaint with the CC company. They will contact the company to try and resolve the issue. You might be asked to provide reciepts and the like as proof of the transaction. Often, the CC company will reverse the charges and then go after the suspect company to get their money back.

You're not saving anything by allowing them to operate on your time with your money, without shipping your items. I would start calling them, a few times a day until they begin to respond.
