logitech lgx710 rebate problems, anyone else do this rebate?

This is an office max rebate from a few months back...actually the buy period was between 10/27 and 11/02 last year.

I sent in the rebate with all the proper dates etc blah blah...got the standard run-around postcard saying that the receipt I sent in was dated outside the promotion period....of course it wasnt, and of course I have a copy of everything...so I call back to Scottsdale,AZ and the lady says 'we are no longer handling logysis rebates"....??? lol. I more or less said "say what?"

I said "are you in scottsdale ariz?" she said "yes" I said "well I have a card here in my hand saying that I have until 3/9 to resubmit"

"yes sir blah blah we are no longer handling"

I said "well you were handling it when I sent it in, so I need to go ahead and get this approved"

"sir, listen to me, you cant get blood out of a turnip"....???lol....nice poilite service.

I said "can I speak to your supervisor?"

"no sir, not over this you cant" !!!!!!!! lol. This ladies killing me here.

Anyway, she says I need to call officemax..hehe...you know that will be some runaround too.

I called them, dude says let me connect you to our rebate center...I get connected and its voicemail only...no thanks.

Anyway, just wondering did anyone else do this rebate?? And are you getting the same run-around??


And in general is officemax ultimately responsible for this $40?? I am sure they are.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

I had trouble with several rebates originating from Office Depot (some place in Michigan handled these particular rebates). I presented the local B&M (where I had purchased the product) with my documentation and they gave me cash on the spot. No Hassle.

Can't say if that works for OfficeMax but would certainly worth a shot since the other avenues appear to be dead ends.

John,

I to was done in by the rebate. It is not the fault of OfficeMax. It is the fault of a group call Continental Promotion Group. Their number is 866-260-4387. I have emailed the website www.rebatestatus.com for customer service 4 times and have been told that I had a valid rebate offer and that a check was mailed 4 weeks ago. I asked them to stop pay and reissue. They say they no longer do business with Logysis and can't send out a check.

I have since sent a letter to the CEO, Sam Garvin, and two other VPs with Continental Promotion Group, Rick Baer and Bryan Ehrenfreund. I just did that today (5/2/03). I have been trying to get a number for Logysis to complain to them; however, it appears that they are a subsidiary of a larger corporation. You can type in Continental Promotion Group and find out the Corporate 800 number. When you get that number as for Mrs. Kat Boatman. Tell her that you know multiple people that this has happened to. I left her a voicemail this morning.

I have email responses that say I have a valid rebate offer. However, now that 6 months have passed, CPG is not willing to pay up. I hope more people look into it.

Yes, I knw what u r going thru i have had the same problem getting my rebate as well.........any suggestions......its goin on a year now !!!!
