The biggest problem with rebates is with companies that process them. Right now, I am battling Continental Promotion Group for the $50 rebate on the Canon S820. It's been going on for 3 months now. If you had trouble with your rebate, check to see if it is being processed by Continental Promotion Group. They are in Scottsdale, AZ. You can find a list of their clients here: http://www.cpginc.com/clients.htm. I think its time their clients hear about the poor service and switch to someone that is capable of representating their companies.

Things I bought lately that have rebates

1-KLH home receiver $50
2-Panasonic DVD player $20
3-WD hard drive $40 (received)
4-CDRs $26 (received)
5-QS motor oil $6
6-Maxell video tapes $4 (received)
7-Rite Aid lightbulbs $6 (got screwed)-me AND the bulbs

These are just the ones in the last month. I've been very lucky over the years.

NUMBER ONE GRIPE - AOL continuing to charge you after you cancel AND change your credit card number. NOT worth the free month and then 2 more free months they give you when you try to cancel the 1st time.

I read the first post by sugardaddy and I got screwed by both the same two companies. Four years ago, I bought two drives by digital research and go screwed for 20 and 39 bucks. I never bought another item fro them. Now Buslink doesn't want to send me the 30 bucks for a hard drive. I'm working through the Best Buy rebate center to see if they can get my money. Funny thing, I'd call their number and never get a reply so I tried different extensions till I got some oriental woman who hooked me up to Dale. I give him deleted now and he switches me to their rebate number. What a bunch of !@#$%^& jerks. Buslink really bites the big one. I sent them an e-mail asking them to send my money back when they receive the drive, and they have a generated response asking me where I sent the damn rebate form to again and again. Buslink ESAD!

Contact the place of purchase. I had the same issue with RebateStatus, and had waited over 3 months for my rebate. Multiple times I've tried to contact them, but no success. So.. I contacted Amazon.com, who I originally bought the items from. Within 48 hours, rebatestatus had a rebate on its way to me. The influence from Amazon.com was all that was needed to get me my rebate.

I hope the same can apply in your case.
