Staples / HP just called to tell me 10 MORE DAYS on order!!!

Staples called me and told me that the notebook will come on 31st, one week late and that they will credit my card by $100 for the wait.

Decent of them.

Well here's the latest. My notebook came today. Yesterday, the day it was originally supposed to come, they called and first asked if i had rec'd it (?) then told me it wouldn't be here till the 31st with additional $100 less for the wait. What's going on here? How can it possibly be that they can't track a FedEx package and tell when it will be at my door -- or for that matter that it had shipped and was in route? I wonder if i'll still get the bonus hundie?
