well...that would bring a warning flag...no reviews are just as bad as bad reviews.

you really need to be careful to base your purchasing decisions on not just price alone.

everyone wants to save money, but buying from unknown vendors just to save a few dollars will backfire on you if you have problems. problems can be anything from incorrectly shipped items, defective items, problems getting rma and exchange, etc.

if you look thru the forums here, there are plenty of stories of people who tried saving a few dollars only to get the short end of the stick later on.

from your posts, you'll wind up spending well over $1000 on your rig. the cpu is not the place to save a few dollars. i've heard stories of people getting chipped cpus, etc. you want to be sure to buy your mobo and cpu from a good reputable vendor since these are the two most 'delicate' components which are a big hassle to troubleshoot later on.

exactly.

while zero isn't the same as negative reviews, it means the vendor is an unknown. as per my previous post, this is not an area you want to go 'exploring'...

I disagree that no reviews are as bad as bad reviews.. everybody starts a business once, however with that said I agree with PJ that the CPU is not the place to get skimpy! If you're buying a flash card reader for 10 bucks sure go for it.. a couple hundred bucks on a delicate item... hmm maybe not
