Kids Help with Archos Multimedia Jukebox!

I bought the whole deal; the Archos Multimedia Jukebox with video camera and camera modules (model # 500404). It is said that the battery on this device supposedly gets 8 hours of battery life. In relation to the 8 hours of normal play (mp3 and video playing), I get only around 3-4 hours. I could understand if I am recording mp3's, jpg's, or avi's, that would cause it it to drain faster, but I am not doing that. I use it just as a normal mp3 player and occasionally watch movies on it.

I normally plug it in for a nice full charge before I got to bed (around 10:30pm) and take it out on the move when I wake up (6:30am). I think that would be plenty of a charge for that hefty length of time.

If anyone can reply and supply some information regarding a solution to my problem or even some usefil hints, tips, or FYI's about the Archos Multimeda Jukebox I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks for your consideration of time and patience of reading this and understanding my problem.

well, tnhat is an 8 hour charge, and are you using the stock batteries?and how long does it say to charge. i have the jukebox 6000, but i bought brand enw energizer rechargeables at 1800mah, with a charger that prevents overcharge by changing the color of the light and sopping the charge

Well, the Archos Jukebox 6000 and the Multimeida 20 is different. The Multimedia has a built in battery, it looks like a card like battery.
