Staples’ great customer service

These guys come through every time.
I bought the black Friday sale speakers from Staples.com. I received an email this morning stating that my $30 rebate was rejected. (The DELIVERY slip was dated AFTER the rebate cutoff.) I had scanned the completed rebate forms, the UPC, online order verification: everything.
Took hardcopies to the Tigard B&M. The customer service guy says, “I’ll fix it. Did you bring the card that you used?” I’ve been in the store two minutes by the time that he’s credited my card!
Then he tells me that Staples is implementing new policies to give their managers even more freedom to make sure that their customers are taken care of.

Staples is the best B&M, bar none, for rebates. And now they're trying to improve? Wow.

Staples is the only local chain B&M store here where I live and they are the only place that I do rebates with as I have always received them from them with no hassles.

I had a similiar experience as Xtempore with a rebate rejection from a manufacturer, not a staples rebate.

The manager credited my card even though strictly they needn't have since the rebate in question was a manufacturer rebate.

Happened a year ago.

Give most of my business to staples since then.

I find Best Buy the worst in Pricematch- they won't even match their own web price.

The local Staples here starts their sales on Saturday because there is no Sunday paper. I bought some CDRWs that were basically free after rebate, even though it was a day before the rebate started. But since it was Saturday, the salesperson told me I would get the rebate for the above reason. Lo and behold the rebate got rejected because I bought it outside the rebate dates. I talked to the local store manager and she was (supposedly) going to call the rebate office and have them resend it. We'll see.

On the downside, I ordered some bookcases from Staples online last week and they were supposed to be delivered on Friday. I stayed home all day and got nothing. Nothing again on Saturday. They'd better get here today.
