Looking for a CD-RW
Right now i'm looking at the lite-on for $60 i heard they were good, but a lil too much to spend..
What kind of CD-RW should i look for like them but for a lil bit less?
Or do you know any good steals for lite-on
And i was thinking this: Can't you over clock? http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...ion=27-106-177

ineb:
If you scoot,(sale ends tomorrow), you can pick up or order on-line from Best Buy, a Buslink,(re-packaged Lite-On), 52x CD-RW
for $80 - $20 MIR - $15 MIR = $45 net + Tax, if you can part with the initial cash, and wait a couple of months for the rebates. . .

OK, but for price, performance, and reliability, Lite-on is your best bet. Occasionally, Office Max or Staples will have a good sale on the Cendyne brand of CD-RWs. Most of them are re-packaged AOpen drives, with which I have no experience ; but usually they have been $20 - $30 after rebates. Your initial outlay will always be $70 - $80, however.
Continually check Doc's Deals here, www.Slickdeals.net and www.Spoofee.com - the CD-RW deals happen frequently. Good luck. There are other sites, but these three manage to keep me in the poorhouse. . .

I am not quite sure why you would want to OC a CDRW? I only have a 16x10x40 and I am very pleased with it. BTW, it's a Lite-on.

Can't speak to that. These drives are fast enough, IMO. I'm still running a Lite-On 12x, although I have 40x and 48x sitting here in boxes. (I'm like the plumber who does everybody's plumbing but his own). Actually, it's just a case of this case being inside of a computer desk, and being a pain to disconnect everything to pull the case out to remove the panels.
I have heard of, say the 40x Lite-On, being able to turn into a 48x w/ a firmware upgrade, if that's what you mean.
