Well the bugger is up and running!!! It took those fast fickle little fingers of his less than 45 minutes to do it. I didn't get to help at all, setting up the machine went like a dream!!!!! UPS, cable and printer too.

BTW, we went with a Cannon. Will chk the model, but the price was right there. The UPS rates at 750, so everything should be well protected.

I got to look over his shoulder as he was installing his 3 favorite games, and he's online kickin', he say's it's real fast but I'll have ta wait till he gets back to school on Mon before I try RC2.

Still concerned about the McAffee firewall that came with it, I'll give it a bit of time before I start laying out some more questions....

Looks like a nice system. And you definitely can't do better than Dell for OEM machines. But if I were looking to buy one, I'd have waited a couple weeks, for their next great deal... it seems they run one every month or two, where you can get a P4 2.0 system for about $400 or less. If you don't believe it, just look through the Deals and Steals section.. you'll find a number of Dell deals for $3xx.xx over the last several months.

Hey, honestly I like Dells, the only problems I have with them is their crappy comercails (man do I want to kill that guy(forgot his name)), and the lack of a small, yet powerfull laptop.
Oh when I say small, i mean in the size of the Fujit's LifBook P2000.

Yea E.C., I've been sleuthing the steals and deals for a while. Got lots of really good tip there. It was a very difficult decision to make. I know I could have waited for a better price, but after figuring out what I wanted to get, I bit the bullitt!!!!

So far so good.....cept we gotta test the printer...may be something going on, dunno, can't get the gamer off it!!!!
