Expansys possibly sold me a used disk

Hello all,

My IBM 340MB Microdrive , purchased on 4/4/2002 from expansys.co.uk , stopped working last Friday. After making sure it's not a software problem I sent an email to the UK IBM drives support regarding my problem.

The first response I got was that the warranty for the specific serial number of my microdrive has expired since September 2001. I was very surprised since I was NEVER informed that the Microdrives sold were out of their warranty. I asked the IBM technician to double-check his database and he was very surprised to see that there was a warranty claim on June 2001 for this specific 2001, and asked me If I had purchased a USED Microdrive. I've sent all the details of purchase and my emails with IBM tech support to expansys the same day and I have no response since then.

I live in Greece , expansys is in the UK , but I promise that I will take any legal action possible unless I have the cost of my Microdrive FULLY REFUNDED plus the 23 euros I paid for postal charges.

I'll keep you up to date whenever I have news (IF I HAVE ANY THAT IS !!)

I don't see the company listed with www.resellerratings.com might want to head over there and post a rating on the company if possible. not sure hwo to get a company added to rate tho. maybe someone else that comes along can guide you better than I could.

I have had a good look for these guys and can't find more than a couple of reviews of them but here is one that probably came from someone who has a similar feeling about them as you do.
