Watford Electronics and Savastore.com

Hi.

Both of these stores need to be elevated to the top of the duff traders scale today.

Savastore.com and Watford Electronics are actually the same co. If you read the crap the MD publishes in PC Magazines you would like me believe that you could contact this guy directly for assistance should a problem arise with your order. This is total BS.

I ordered an MSI 6380E Board two weeks ago when I was away at sea. I got home last Thursday night to find it was in fact an MSI 6593 Board I had been sent along with the Manual and CD for the 6380.

I have tried Friday, Saturday and today to get any help from these tossers. Each time you get through to the Customer Care line you are given a number of options which lead nowhere and after about 5 mins get a voince saying " there is no one available to help you call back later " then you are cut off. Repeated e mails generate even less response.

They are even promoted by the Which magazine here in the UK as being good to deal with a quick search of Consumer reports UK will show the real story. I looked on ResellerRatings.Com and got no adverse reports owing to the low number of posts all up for the co(s) This and the Which listing led me to deal with them.

As soon as the Banks open tomorrow I am going to try and stop my CC owing to what I feel is blatant breach of contract. I've got a print out of what they offered which is a board with a lot more that the POS they sent me.

Cheers

Hi,

Here is a brief update to the post above.

I kept trying to get through on their help lines with no luck then thought I would try one more time before calling the bank and got through to Tech support.

I got to speak to someone who actually seemed willing to help me and at first had trouble believing me when I described all the hassle I was having. This board actually looked like it had been used judging by the marking around the screw holes that mount the board, it arrived with no static bag and none of the cables and so on that it was supposed to ship with. It was between two bits of foam in a plain brown cardboard box.

To cut a long story short, the guy I was speakng to gave me an RMA and arranged for it to be collected from my house. It shipped on a Friday night and the correct one was delivered with all it's bits and pieces plus an extra USB Bracket thingie with the MSI LED's on it to my house on the Tuesday morning. I was away at that point and had my wife open the box and describe all that was in there to me. The Co paid all the freight charges.

I got back a couple of weeks later and it all looked good to me. I assembleed the PC loaded the OS and away it went like a dream.

In spite of my overall success I am wary about dealing with these guys again. I have ordered twice with them now one time was good first time and this one was good after a big hassle.

Ok, Thats about it. I just wanted to report back as to what the final outcome was.

Cheers
