Utopia PC

Hello, I just found this thread on google search. It was the only result I got on "Utopia PC Scam"

I found this companies website a few months ago and was impressed by the prices, and I thought they was most likely a legit company, for one readon because of all the specs they gave on all their parts and systems. I was getting ready to order a few thousand dollors in computer parts for our radio station. I wanted to call their phone number so I could know I was talking to a legit company. I tried to call for several weeks ALL during business hours and I keep getting what sounds like there answering machine. I sent them emails, I have left messages saying I want them to get ahold of me asap. I have left my phone number, email address, etc. They have not returned one message to me so far. So I was starting to think twice about 'UtopiaPC'. I went on Google.com to find any fraud or scam reports about this company and I found nothing at all. So I was starting to think maybe they was just backlagged on service and I would consider doing business with them IF they gave me a reply. I finally got a reply about a month later by email from some guy saying he was sorry it took so long. His email kind of started to convince me to buy from them.

So today I went to search on google one last time to see if any results came up about Utopia PC' being a possible scam, and I found one result and it was this page. I know now that I will NOT be doing business with this company at all.

Thanks for posting this thread.

(also after calling the BBB about this company and asking for information about Utopia PC the BBB has told me they have had several complaints about this so called company. I noticed that there website mysteriously dissappeared this morning from the internet. Take a look-- http://www.utopiapc.com )

Talk UTOPIAPC.COM (UTOPIA CREATIONS, INC.) ARRAIGNED IN FEDERAL COURT!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE -- LATEST DUE DILLIGENCE REVEALS SOME DIRT ABOUT UTOPIAPC.COM -- UTOPIA CREATIONS, INC. IN FEDERAL COURT
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Utopia Creations, Inc. is a scam. I know now because I was one of the last few victims before the owner was arrested.

The Colorado District Attny's Office just told me over the phone that "Utopia Creations, Inc." and www.UtopiaPC.com (the e-commerce website for Utopia Creations, Inc) is not a legally "incorporated" business (for-profit venture) in the state of Colorado NOR has a DBA (Doing Business As) been filed for this company in any other State or Federal Business Office or Registrar in the US or abroad. UtopiaPC.com is a non-company and does NOT exist. Extreme caution should be used when sending them your credit information or other personal, financial or banking details. Your personal identity information may become severely compromised.

The "Inc." in the moniker of this non-company is represented falsly and is a completely made-up "state-sanctioned title" designed to fool unsuspecting victims into buying various hardgoods which the company does not sell nor stock. The Trademark which has been integrated into the Utopia Creations logo, has never been trademarked (TM) as the logo states on the website: http://www.utopiaPC.com The DA's office may be in the process of shutting this website down while the owner is incarcerated.

Both the Colorado District Attny's Office and the Small Business Assn in Denver (http://www.sba.org/) say Utopia Creations, Inc. and the non-company's owner who's name they believe is real, "Jeremiah Patrick," is in violation of numerous state and federal laws, including IRS TAX EVASION and FALSIFIED or MISLEADING CORPORATE MIS-REPRESENTATION. UtopiaPC.com was never registered as an "incorporated" Colorado entity and acting as such illegally is a felony in that state.

It appears that Mr. Patrick also owns a company called "Host Utopia" and "Utopia Web Hosting, Inc." (see: http://HostUtopia.com ). which is under investigation as well for lack-of-service and internet fraud and credit card abuse.

At Home utopia pc

I bought a burner from them off of eBay in October and still haven't received it yet. Same story as radman... I called them, I e-mailed them, I faxed them.... nothing. I went to leave negative feedback on eBay only to learn that they had been kicked off. Really felt upset about it because it was like I couldn't get a hold of him no matter what I tried. It's nice to know that he got busted!

Nice to find a bit of info on this guy. I sent him $308.00 for a computer he was offering on ebay & never got any money back or the computer. I know many of you are thinking $308.00 bucks .. big deal .. yes .. it was a big deal to us as I am disabled from a truck wreck, and thats near 1/2 our monthly income.. so yes a very big deal to us. I dont know if anyone has anyfurther info on this man or what is going on .. if there are any charges pending or what ever, but if anyone does please pass us along to who ever it may be taking care of claims or sending this guy to jail. Someone needs to know and make this man pay for the suffering he puts people through. in our case, it will be another year or better before we save back enough to start looking for another computer again. I dont mean to come across as a whiner thats not my intent, I would just like to get our money back, or at least be a part of what ever puts this guy away. He didnt just hit business with his scam , but small familys, such as ours who will not soon recover from his scam. Thanks again for any info anyone may have: Will_M

You need to file a complaint with the credit card company and it must be done in writing. File a complaint with the Pueblo CO. police dept. Contact the Colorado State Attorney general. I went through a similar ordeal, I only had $50 at stake but the scam encompassed nearly 600 auctions on Ebay and the total amount taken was probably around $50,000. In the end the victims did prevail. It is up to the seller to provide proof that you received the merchandise. You don't have to prove anything. If he doesn't have a signed delivery receipt or proof of delivery from UPS or Fedex etc you are off the hook. Good Luck.
