Too good to be true?

I was looking through a Tiger Direct catalogue and I saw this,

Seems a like a nice price. But is it too good to be true? I dunno, I could be wrong too.

$2500! . . No Monitor!

I would gather you could get that price down bigtime DIY.

even though it's watercooled, and a very nice rig, I think it's overpriced IMO

I just built a new system better than that for about 600 less!!!!

Prices like that are usually found in systems with bleading edge technology and the parts in that system although very nice are not the most top notch money can buy. Also it disturbs me that they don't say what brand of CDburner they have put in it. BRAND does matter with burners especially if you plan to copy any of your games for backups and you want them to work without cracking. And for that price I would say they could put a DVD burner that does both CDR & RW and DVDR & RW. This system and price is meant to sucker the guy that doesn't know much at all about computers but all his friends do and have nice rigs and he wants to fit in and play with the big boys. Again this is not a bad system at all it is very nice but the price doesn't reflect what is in it I don't think.

Where I work I could build a system for that price including a 19 KDS xtreme flat crt monitor. Yeah it's just a little priced. Or with out the monitor and with a DVD+- RW. either way. much more than whats listed
