Fellow Members:
This is more a commentary on
Epson service than on the C82 model. Though the Stylus C82 is a great color printer, Epson's latest offering I believe.
I want to comment on Epson's service. I ordered and received a C82 from
www.tristatecamera.com - as they were one of the first near me to stock this newly released printer.
Upon receiving the printer carton, I detected "something" rattling around inside. Once I set the printer upright, the rattling stopped (like a loose screw in a plastic container sound). I began using the printer: the colors were great as was the software and features, but 10-15 sheets of paper would get sucked through each time I clicked to print a
single page. "Bummer."
I emailed Epson. They responded the same day with instructions
to call tech support. I called same day - no waiting, no busy signal. The tech ran me through one test, it flunked - conclusion - needed replacement. The replacement (new, not refurbished) arrived within a few days, with the box to be used to return the first printer and shipping prepaid, as it should be.
I give Epson a 10 out of 10 for service.
