help with MB and CPu

have to say STAY FAR FROM ECS i'm stuck with 2 mb's and i HATE them!
*** chris u sound like a lucky man to have such good luck with the mbs

but have had simular prob's and faulty p/s was culprit and the rebooting was a power driver there's 2 atin sys info i took one out and waalaa rebooting stopped.

1 more note, and i may be wrong or misunderstood somewhere but you mentioned you keep reinstalling windows? sometimes thats the worst to do untill you find problem cuz you just reinstall over same prob and it will just get worse.

[you don't have to mess with it. the ECS P4 S5A/DX board is very reliable, I use it to build all of my P4 systems. And I use the K7S5A board for all Athlon builds. ECS is a great and reliable mobo company. if I were you thats what I'd go with! good luck.

I am not going to get into a war with your about Intel vs AMD because it is not a war that either one of us is going to win. I have learned that from fighting with friends about it. No matter how much I think intel sucks and how excessively expensive they are I know I won't be able to convince you that they are the greatest things since sliced bread. I also know that no about of banter that you throw at me is going to convince me that Intel is the end all be all way to go either. This is a pointless battle.

Have tried beforeGigabyte GA-7VTXH+ have 2 of them for other systems..
even them I can not get up and running in other systems...
I jknow it isn;t me in my years i have built over 100 systems and just recentl;y having problems all 4 MB's i have even RMA'd
other is abit KR&A i believe...
on the gigabyte after i installed XP last time about the 3rd time it reboots after that i get the screen saying WAIT right before it finds the hard drive UUURRRGGGHHH
