mindless query. how trashy is your den?
right now i set in my chair staring at 2 monitors and a TV typing replys to posts. When i get up, i have a path cut thru the floor to get to the door.
Approximately how many CD's do you have scattered on your floor/desk?
I counted, and had just about 300 CD's totaling in value of just under 20,000 bucks... lol
am i the only loser around here? |

Sounds like my "area". I don't have that many CD's, but I do have 4 50 disc spindles sitting here full of program discs, plus about another 70 laying on my desk. Plus directly behind me I have a torn apart PC, plus a running test PC right directly beside it.
Oh, don't forget about the PC parts and pieces on my desk all around my keyboard. I have to reach around parts to get to the keyboard.
Man, i need to do some cleaning.

im right up there with you bigblue...
sometimes the parts are so thick that if i move the mouse too far, or fast, ill knock off parts onto the floor, and miraculously break none
I don't know why i don't clean this up, i guess its because i use it just about every day.

Oh, almost forgot about the stacks of floppies. Probably 200+ floppies laying around.

Ha!
screw floppies, i had to keep ripping off the metal brackets on them because they would be deformed and bent. I have those stacked about a foot high in a cabinet with about 100 other cds that i don't even know what they have on them hmmm, i seem to remember some really bad zipping software... lol
how about wires on the back of your PC? ive got this bird nest behind mine, and have to use twist ties on the ones im not removing every day. my major malfuntion is getting the mouse wire wrapped around the speaker wires, man that pisses me off, because ill pull on the mouse, and it won't go anywhere.

If you would have asked me half a week ago, I'd have a good story for you, but I just did some massive cleaning in here.
The dork in me still shows through in the random and scattered PC parts on my left little shelf (two CD drives, hard drive, fan grill, couple fans, modem...)

I hate to be the odd ball, but I'm a neat person. I can't stand clutter. So, to answer the question....my place is neat. |

I'm with Greymon here.
The place is a mess right now (been sick), but I like a neat, picked up but not polished, type of house.
But I can sympithize with the floppies (had a beast a while back called 'cookie monster' because of the floppies).
