probably better to get a drive rack connected by fiber or scsi cable than a huge beast like that lol

Ya i got one like that too. 2 foot tower and its a pain in the ass to move around. UGH! But the air flow and the roominess is nice.

I figured it was for a server, I didn't notice that all the bays were internal, I though that big clear space at the top had room for like 6 external bays, and I was really wondering why someone would need that many external.

my mistake.

ahhh, we use them, we just don't like to admit it, i think ive got:

1 CD rom
2 tape drives
1 5 1/4 / 3 1/2 floppy combo
1 absolutely gigantic scsi HDD that sounds like an engine (thats why im making a hog)
and something else thats retarded (don't feel like trudging over to it)

nothing else to do? just grab your monster server, and cram it full of stupid crap. lol. mine weighs all of the 64 pounds, and then some.

that monitor mount is gonna have to be strong, the monitor weighs about 50 pounds. hmmmm

i saw one of those all modded out at a LAN party. it had an equalizer, dvd, cdrw, cdrom, dvdrw, zip250, 3 20 gig HDs, a place for temperature to be shown, wheels, handle on top, HUGE window mod, place for switches connected to the UV and black lights inside as well as fans. this thing had to cost like 6 large
