I am tired of spending $65 for ink cartridges for my Lexmark Z52. Don't get me wrong I love the printer, prints everything from my business cards to photo quality prints. So I consider refilling the cartridges. I am at Target looking for OEM ones and I see this refill kit from this company,
http://www.iprintrefill.com/. I buy a set, black refill kit and a color refill kit. $40 instead of $65.Use the cleaner stuff to soak/ clear the jets for an hour. Get out the black one, use a screw eyelet to open wider a vent hole in the top (included in the kit) refill with black. Ok , one is done.
For the color one it is a bit more complicated, you have to pop the top off of the cartridge, get out the trusty swiss army knife , pop off the top with minimum trouble. I see three compartments , one for cyan, yellow and magenta. I refill each with the ink and syringe provided. Fairly easy, not too much ink on me. Use tape as instructed to secure the top, reinstall as instructed. Run the clean cartridge setup. Run it several times, no color. Black seems ok.Print test pages no color, try everything. Nothing. Pull it out, the ink has run right thru, dripping into my printer. Ok I figure its a me. I pull out anouther empty one(cartridge) and soak it overnite, try refill , following the instructions carefully cuz I really want this to work. Same thing.
I take them back to Target, get my money back, buy OEM from them. Reinstall, works perfectly. So in conclusion, don't use that kit, at least from my experience. Oh yeah one more thing, in the brochure it says "If it doesn't work , don't return to the store before visiting our website or calling our tech support" The website has exact same instructions as the brochure and tech support is business hours M-F which to ME is NO tech support.I need after hours and weekend tech support.
