WTB: Good color lazer printer
I have a customer w/ a small mortgage business,(8-10 people),
and he is inquiring about a color lazer printer, since they produce
color presentations, and ink jets are killing him in catridge costs.
I've seen a Lexmark recommended in PC World, with a street price
of about $2100. This is w/in his price range, but he would go higher for a reliable, and economical solution. This would be a
network printer for the whole office.
Any experience or recommendations w/ color lazer printers?
Also, I see the term "automatic duplexer" associated with these
type printers. What does this term mean?
Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Auto Duplex means the printer will flip the paper and print on the back without user intervention.
I would also recommend HP printers. They have a variety of color laserjets, all of them networkable. They start as low at 1000 bucks and there midrange seems to be around 2000.
This is there $2000 model the 4600 http://h20022.www2.hp.com/busprod/ov...idebarLayId=63

Anyways, in my opinion HP make some of the greatest "lazar" printers, and if u have a Costco wholesale store near by, u can get a good deal on 1, I know i did.

Thanks,Doc, et al:
Seems like more folks are leaning toward HP. And this 4600 looks like a good match for this small office environment. I'll pass on the
recommendation.
Thanks again.

Bill,
I recommend the QMS Magicolor 3100DN Printer; its output is far superior to the HP competitor, at only 1899.99. The HP can only produce a true 600DPI, while the 3100 produces 1200DPI. The HP enhancement boards are almost useless & always produce a grainy output. Check the specs out on my site and let me know if you have any questions. ****
