Dell warranty transfer
Is it possible to split Dell's warranty between two people? For example, I would like to sell an lcd apart from a computer, and then sell the computer. How would the warranty work?

yes, but is it possible to buy a system and then sell the monitor to one person, and the box to another... and have both be under the warranty

I guess the more appropriate question would be, does the monitor have a different service tag than the box?

No one here knows, you'll have to follow the link and research yourself, If I had the time I'd do it, buy cannot right now.

Sounds like a call to Dell is in order. My guess is that the warranty for the monitor is tied to the system.

I did research it :P I just figured people here might know since there have been so many dell deals lately, and some people here resell them. Thanks

In our case, AFAIK, mostly we'd warrant the thing just like a store.
This is why you mark it up so in the event of failure, you have to hassle with getting it warrantied.
I've never transfered the warranty on a Dell, but glad that GZ found the data.
If you find any info please report so we can be advised ,
thanks
