what do you think is this computer case worth?

Hi folks,

I have seen this PC case (see link) with 450W Power Supply being sold on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2057303763

The seller has several auctions with that case as a component.

What would you pay for such a computer case (with and without powersupply)? It looks good though, with so many options for the fans.

------
EDIT
------

The shipping is $19. The current bid is $27. The total is $46. What maximum price can I bid for such a case?

pretty decent prices for barebones systems too, looking over their buy-it-now auctions. good feedback.

IMO

I like it. I have bought two of them from that seller (one for me, one for a friend.) I think it's a great case. Painted mine back and silver and modded it a bit too. Don't have all 13 case fans yet, still need 4 more. Sent you a PM on it too.

I bought two cases with motherboard from one of that sellers auctions (building three systems for my friends). They were packed very well and the case looks good. I did not try with 12 fans though. With one case fan XP1800 runs at 45 degrees (normal). Not bad with the heatsink that comes with AMD retail processor.

They are not going to be my PC's cannot experiment with colors
For the same reason, I cannot increase the cost and noise of the system.

One piece of advice with ebay. Don't get in a hurry to get something or you could be burned. Not that the seller is a crook but you might pay more than you should or want to. Example awhile back I wanted a JazzTraveller for my jazz drive. (converter to plug a jazz drive into a printer port instead of a scsi). It was 49$ retail in the stores and I wasn't about to pay that much for a little adapter. I got on ebay and got it for 20$ plus a little shipping. It took me 20 auctions to get it at that price though most auctions ended at 39 or 45$. You have to be stubborn enough to get the price you want. You set what price you are willing to pay don't worry about how much it is really worth you pick a price. Then when you are on ebay find the auctions that don't have alot of people bidding on them yet AND that have not much time left until the auction closes. Thats where you can get some deals. Pick a price and don't go over it if someone out bids you oh well move on to the next auction. It takes some time and patients but you can get stuff at the price you want.

Dourden,

You are right. I always find an interesting item write the end-of-auction time on a paper, come 1 minute before the auction close, bid 15-30 seconds before the auction close. It worked several times.

The price target should always be "bid price + shipping".

Most of the auctions have overpriced shipping and handling. They usually account for the shipping+handling+ebay fees+PAYPAL/BillPoint fee. For a computer bid amount of $400, the S&H turns out to be $40+handling (box, time, etc). Thus many vendors charge $42 to $69.
