My friend saw a deal on K-Byte ram for $39 at Best Buy for 256MB DDR SDRAM PC-2100.
Do you know if K-Byte is a good brand or not?
He's a "cheap overclocker" -- IOW he wants alot out of a little ($$$)
I was going to tell him to try to get Crucial RAM.
Is there somewhere he can get good PC2100 DDR for a good price?
Thanks!
--EDIT--
I've already told him that if he wants the most out of his computer he will have to pay more for better parts. I told him he can only get out of a computer what he puts into it.
But, he doesn't make alot of money and he's just buying parts as he can.
Should I tell him to just save more $$ for better memory?

Some good brands of RAM include Micron (and Crucial, made by Micron) as well as Kingston and Samsung (and Mushkin, made by Samsung). Oh, and Corsair is generally considered good stuff too.
I've used RK-Byte successfully. Like PNY and Kingston, the sticks
come with lifetime warranty. So for stock systems, the RKworks
fine for the money.
I agree w/everyone else. For OC'g, your friend should save for
premium RAM such as High grade Mushkin or Corsair. He may be able to push Crucial RAM a little bit. Ya gets what ya pay for. . .
