I ordered from them about 3 months ago and I guess I never wrote a review @ resellerratings.

They have extremely good prices, and their sale prices are great too. I live in California so I have to pay tax, but I still buy anyway. The only other place I will pay tax is Newegg, since I like them so much. Otherwise, I look for an out-of-state reseller.

Also, since I live in California their shipping was great. I ordered a few fans, and a power supply and I got it in 2 days.

I got completely screwed on an order about a month ago and will never order from them again. I placed a ~$100 order with them, some cables, a Digidoc 5+, that sort of stuff. The order arrives, I open the box, and none of the cables I ordered were there -- maybe $12 worth of stuff, no big deal. I email them, and after bouncing emails back and forth they essentially called me a liar.

Their customer service and support leaves MUCH to be desired, and I will never buy from them again.

bamboozeled

These guys are sociopaths. Order from them at your own peril. If you are ordering small parts, less than $20, then you have a reasonable chance of getting what you ordered. I ordered an $800 part and when it arrived DOA, they replied that they had no way of testing the part before shipping and no way of verifying what I had done to the part after arrival. Where did they develop their customer service skills? Isn't the customer always right? My only interest was getting a part that worked at a fair price. They rely on threats and intimidation to prevent consumers from filing complaints. Check their eBay feedback. For every neutral or negative feedback, count on dozens, and maybe hundreds, more eBayers that wanted to leave neutral or negative feedback, but were afraid of reprisal from this unscrupulous seller. Silicon Valley Compucycle will continue to lie, cheat, and steal because they think they can get away with it. They will tell you that there is another company with the same name giving them a bad reputation. How can another company have the same name, address and contact information? Easy, they are the same company. Do they think all consumers are morons? Yes, they are counting on it, it's part of their business plan.

Does anyone have more information on actions/complaints filed against Silicon Valley Compucycle (SVC)? GameTraveler had a Yahoo, BBB, and CA Div. of Consumer Affairs complaint, what is the status on those. I may have to file a claim, and want to have all the information I can get.
