ResellerRatings.net email forwarding

As Mortis mentioned in this thread (ResellerRatings Update), one of the uses of ResellerRatings is as a "post purchase reenforcer", so that merchants understand that they are accountable for the service, or lack thereof, that they provide.

We're entertaining the idea of giving all those users who have an account at ResellerRatings.com, their own ResellerRatings.net email address, in the format username@resellerratings.net. That email would forward to whatever email account you specify. The point of that would be to enable you to enter your resellerratings.net email account when you place online orders, to immediately communicate to merchants that you're aware of ResellerRatings and will be submitting a review of their performance.

What do you think?

I really like that idea .. it would let merchants know pretty simply that people are going to be rating them ... heck May even get us "special treatment"

I like the idea.. think it will be a very nice idea.. providing a letter head so to speak, when working with buying online.. lets them know where u call from.. =)

I think it is a great idea.

I'm new to this forum. I had a problem with an item that was shipped by newegg. I posted my comments on resellerratings. When the customer support person called me he knows me only as "a person who posted on resellerratings.com".

The email address user@resellerratings.net might not do any good if the items are purchase from resellers who have very low rating (e.g., buyaib.com). That's because they (probably) don't care about the ratings that are provided here.

However, resellers with very high ratings will definitely provide much better service.

Sounds like an great idea. My only worry would be if they started spaming and had it forward to my main email account.

I think that would really help the Sellers and customers! Spamming is the only thing I hate when it comes to new email address's!
