Be wary of them.
I've been dealing with discountlaptops over the last couple of months and so far Im not thrilled. I bought a sager laptop from them about a year ago...which arrived DOA. They replaced it no problem but recently a month or so ago my computer died. Just overheated and died.
When I contacted them I got put through a range of different departments before finally being told by "Matthew" that the extended warranty underwriters were not honoring their contracts and therefore I might be screwed as far as getting my laptop repaired.
To his credit, Matthew spoke with Matt Richards the prez of the company and they agreed to take my laptop anyways and try to get it fixed. If the story ended here I would happily reccomend them. Unfortunately I just got off the phone with Matthew who tells me NOW they may not honor the warranty because there was a lot of dust in the machine, which cause it to overheat and caused the problems.
Apparently I was supposed to have known how to take apart my laptop (even though nothing of that nature is mentioned in the users manual) and blow air all over certain areas in it to keep it running optimally. Matthew is calling this
lack of knowledge misuse on my part and therefore not the responsibility of the company. Insert expletive here........
Hopefully Mr. Richards will get back to me soon and honor the contract I signed with his company..ie standing behind his product without giving his customer base a bunch of baloney.
Anywho I'll update this as soon as I hear from him. For the time being though Id say avoid these guys. They're a tad sketchy.
