eBay - What About PayPal?

Hello All,

I must say I am a small seller on ebay.

My most recent items I could not get the buyers to post feedback for me.

They would not even return my emails to make sure items were received, even though I send Return Receipt from US Post.

I also posted their feedback as soon as the funds were received.

Also, one item went for way more than I ever dreamed of, $799.00 to be exact, and I never would have paid it or could I believe anybody ever would.

I think buyers get buyers remorse sometimes and take it out on merchants who are just honoring their request to sell to the highest bidder.

With that said I have used PayPal now since they came on the scene.

I have concerns with eBay taking them over because PayPal has poor customer service also. Very hard to reach and hard to figure out how to remove one of my accounts from their system.

Paypal makes it sooooo easy to add an account but forget trying to remove one.

I totally stumbled onto this website yesterday much by accident.

I was not even looking for anything to do with PayPal but there it was. Thought you all might find it interesting as well.

Regards,

Jim

It isnt the original. Its mearely someone attempting to steal someone else skills.
Look at that site again, silly man. It's a political parody against the current Democratic governor of California (Gray Davis) by the committee to elect his Republican opponent, Bill Simon.

With ebay all your doing is taking a chance at getting what you want for cheap. So dont think eveything will always work out.

Ebay provides a great medium for selling and buying (and occasionally: Trading). They are offering a service, not a product. I've posted about 20 items for sale on Ebay and Half.com, and all of my ebay auctions have sold, and I've been paid. On the other hand, I've bought maybe 4 times, and had a good experience, except for a heatsink which was misrepresented, and it didn't fit my CPU, I turned right around and sold it for more than I had paid (nice ).

They offer some protection for buyers, but it applies more for purchases over $100. It's better than the old days on yahoo! auctions, I got ripped 3 times out of 5. Four years later, my screen name has a -1 rating although the seller was banned from ever using Yahoo auctions again!, but I still lost my money. If you read all the FAQ's and stuff on ebay, the offer a lot.

My other stuff on half.com didn't sell yet, anyone want some old chemistry and biology textbooks?
