yes i ordered from accubyte (did not know about this websight before i made the order) it has been over 2.5 weeks since i placed my order they have nto responded to my emails nor do they answer there phone. This makes me very shacky since i am not recieving any kind of response from them at all. i am patiently waiting but also doint som research can someone tell me if they have gone through something simular to this? and also if i do not recieve my item is there a way to get my money back? or what would i start to do please help thnx

if you check resellerratings.com, i believe accubyte has a horrible rating..

hopefully someone else has more info

yes

i would have not used accubyte if i had known about resellerratings.com yes they have already taken the money out i placed the order 8/3/2002 they called me 8/4/2002 told me that they were out of the cpu i ordered so i asked if they had the next step up and they said yes so i told them to go ahead and do that one they said ti would be about 2 weeks. it now has been more then 2 weeks i have not heard anything from them since then i try to email them and they do not respond and there numbers are always busy they took the money out of my account on 8/5/2002 any ideas?

Not really.
Over here we have offices of fair trading not sure if you have them in america, other than that wait it might, come they could be late.

Worst case scenario find them and personnally 'encourage' them to process the order.

we have a better business bureua but i am not sure how they handle things i am waiting but they are not responding to emails nor phone calls and this bothers me a great deal. it may not be a big deal but be sure if i dont get my money back and i recieve nothing soon ill be flying to there headquarters and having a "conversation" with them

I think you learned the hard way and paid cash for this lesson: Research your vendors before ordering. If you didn't know about Resellerratings, there also is BizRate, Yahoo Shopping, PriceGrabber, the BBB and probably others...you could have checked there.

You'll be very lucky to get any of your money back...chalk it up to expensive (?) experience.

was notified by a lawyer today that if i do not recieve an item for my money i can sue them. i will definietly check before i order again. i called them today they said that the part had been backordered and was shipping out tommorow so we shall see my lawyer told me they must provide a method of shipping and the company must have my legal signiture on file so maybe i wont get ripped off

FTC is similar, but not really the same thing. There appears to be no US Equivalent to TSD in US.

Sure, you can sue them, anyone can. Good luck on collecting if you win, however.

And on top of that, it may cost you more in legal fees than it's worth.
