What is an Open Box item?

Open Box items have been opened and touched and/or returned. Because they originate from different situations, they may or may not include accessories, documentation or retail packaging. Refurbishment is done by the manufacturer. Open Box products are warranted for only 30 days. We recommend that you try out your Open Box product immediately after receiving it.

Recertified Asus Netbook from Newegg!!

I read some of the comments on this thread and learned that some of you have had mixed experiences with refurbished items purchased from Newegg. Well, I honestly would tell you guys that ever since I started purchasing products from this online merchant, I have NEVER had a single problem with them!....Just recently I purchased a Recertified 10" Asus Netbook for $200 (regularly sold for $300). The result was so good, that a friend of mine ended up getting two more of the same right after she seen the netbook!

When you get refurbished, recertified or open box products, you really need to know what you're doing. You need to evaluate and compare price value to determine if savings truly compensates for the risk you take when you buy products under these conditions. Additionally, you have assured that the product still under manufacturer's warranty and the merchant advertises it as so. With that said, you're not only minimizing risks, but you're also adding value to your purchase!

Just my two cents

Happy and secure shopping and my very best wishes for the coming New Year 2011 to ALL!
