Same company
This is a really old thread, but I'm replying because I've wondered the same thing based on their web site design. Something else I don't know if anyone has done... if you look up their registered addresses at bbb.org, you'll see that IBuyPower is located here:
11581 Federal Drive
El Monte, CA 91731
And CyberpowerPC is located here:
5175 Commerce Drive
Baldwin Park, CA 91706
Now go to maps.google.com and plug in driving directions from one to another, and you will see that they are NINE MINUTES drive time apart from each other. Now, think about the fellow above who said their web sites went down at the same time, and the fact that they use the same software and have similar resellerratings scores.
Just something to think about.

I posted a neg review on an order. They delayed shipment, were rude and unapologetic while doing it. I cancelled, and posted my experience. They managed to have my review deleted. They claimed since I cancelled In was not a customer, sad part is THIS site agreed, and deleted my post.

Check out the CyberpowerPC forums. Not only did someone else report the same experience, but ResellerRatings actually responded to me on the CyberpowerPC forum! It really makes me wonder just how impartial RR is... I wouldn't be surprised if one of them hopped onto this thread to respond.
I am awaiting a refund from CyberpowerPC. Danny Lee actually tried to blackmail me. When I mentioned I was going to file a dispute with my credit card company for the shipping that he refused to refund, then he said if I was going to do that, he would not issue any refund at all. I will be updating my review (if it still exists...) after this mess is finally done.
It's really too bad. These guys have the best prices around. If they weren't cheats/liars/swindlers, it would be an unbeatable deal.

If they weren't cheats/liars/swindlers, it would be an unbeatable deal. | IN My OPINION, there is something not right about them. whenever I called to check on my product being made, I always got the same guy, Danny. Whenever there is a neg post, "Danny to the rescue" comes along and posts how sorry he is. Maybe less time spent scouring the net for negs, and more time building computers. It is quite a sham, when one calls IN PERSON to compalin they get people who sound anything BUT sorry, and NO apologies. Ahhh...but when the compaliner goes PUBLIC, That is when the "well meaning " apologies come out. And all those "amazing" reviews from new one time posters that follow a neg....just seem a bit to well timed and similar.
All it would have taken , as I said in my review that they had deleted, was to just listen to my complaint without cutting me off, and at least sounding like you cared! If that happened, I may have been here writing good things about them on a cyberpower rig instead a competitor brand.

I said the same thing in my review, about what I suspect are fake reviews. ResellerRatings got up in arms about it and "requested" that I remove that portion of my review (which, of course, I had to).
Did you get the standard, "must have been damaged in shipping" line? I used to sell PCs in the '90s. Never seen so many customer complain and get that response before from a company.
They installed a beta version of BIOS, then Danny read across the phone to me BIOS-related errors in my Vista log file. When I knew what those errors meant, and pointed out they are BIOS errors and probably stemmed from the BIOS software they flashed into my motherboard, he was obviously off guard. He did not expect someone to understand those errors.
These guys had better get in gear with my refund. They do not understand who they are messing with. I am not some 18 year old kid that will walk away when they even have a portion of my money. I will start with a simple credit card dispute, move to negative reviews here, at Epinions, FeedbackPlanet, AngiesList (which I subscribe to) and everywhere else. I will go on to BBB complaints and their Attorney General (who, I'm sure, has heard from others). I will complain to everyone if they try to keep as little as $10 of my money.
I truly hate that it didn't work out. I still have not bought a replacement PC because I can't bring myself to pay $2400-$3200 for an equivalent PC. However, we were a month into a struggle that I could see what only going to get worse. You would think they could say, "Okay, this didn't work out. The PC has problems. Let's just refund the guy's money." But nope... it's all about finger-pointing to try to hit customers with a restocking fee or shipping fees or anything to cover their costs.
Not a good experience.
Edit: Btw, RR reinstated that guy's review when he provided proof that he purchased. You should send them proof. Don't let your review get thrown away by a cheating company!

I bought an XPS 435Mt Intel Core i7-920 FS $639/PSU 360W/ 4GB DDR3 SDRAM/512MB ATI Radeon HD 4850
for ONLY 4639. Got it out of box, inspected it MINT brand new screaming speed.
the Mt(Mini-Tower) may not be for you if you wnat to mod, but similar deals can be had.
I will either add 6G (3x2) and take one of the 1G's out, or ad 2g(2x1). That will allow either 6 or 9G ddr3 tri chanel Ram with top notch video card and i7 processor, for around $700. It comes with 1 year on site next day service.
