And fatal xception or surreal and especially surrealchereal aren't weird names?
The thing is fatal x, nothing is a sure thing when dealing with the internet. If you purchase with a credit card and you aren't satisfied even if the merchant doesn't come through you can dispute it with the card company and get a charge back to your account. I never use anything but a credit card on the net for just that reason. I feel I have recourse if the seller is a problem.
I knew that and you are also looking at reviews from 1997. I would be more inclined to look at current reviews. I think I would be very caucious dealing with these guys. The current stuff doesn't look too good.
It would be nice if there was a second master rating for, say, the last 90 days or so. That way you could tell if a once good company now sucked, or a once horrible one is getting it's act together. Right now, you need to depend on the comments to tell the trend, but it would be nice for it to be displayed numerically as well. As for the who-knows-where bit, all the really old comments say that.
Fatal XCeption, my advice to you is to wait until NewEgg gets it. Put in an "Auto-Notify" and check your email often. After reading reviews from Reseller Ratings, NewEgg is the only vendor I trust. Too many people have gotten shafted taking a chance with some unknown place.
Geoptf, I agree with you on that. The best bet is to read the most recent reviews on the company. Now, from the link that Fatal XCeption provided, it looks like the company was trying to jack up their rating here, or that the company was pretty good a long time ago, and sucks now. The key is to look at the wording in the comments for the company. If the comment seems overly positive, then it could be a fake review. Just my two cents.
I dont' know which MSI board you were precisely looking for, but you can buy your board from mwave.com they are as reputable as newegg according to many members. Here is the link for the MSI boards from mwave.com http://direct.mwave.com/mwave/ProdMO...BOARD-MSI.hmx?
