I got Ripped oFF...by Gigdot

Hi shoppers,

I bit a case ($82) on ebay, the seller name is Gigdot. It's about 2 weeks he charged my credit card, and I haven't see my case yet. He gave me a UPS tracking number to make me think the case is on it's way. But when I called UPS, they say the account was created but they weren't able physically get the case.

I don't know how he fooled everyone else and become an power seller at ebay. But, I got screwed big time. Anyone has any idea to help me out? He either doesn't reply e-mails or reply at a very slow fashion.

If your card is a credit card and not a debit card call your credit card company and get them to reverse the charges. If you cant get that done simply contact ebay and tell them that you were ripped off and you will get everything but the $25 deductable back.

Most banks if you go into talk to them will get you a charge back even on a debt card but you will probl. have to fill out a fruad afidavide. Also check his contact info for a phone # and give it a try.

There's not much I, or the TrollHunters can do with eBay trolls, unfortunately. I recommend you follow the guidelines set forth in the Safe Harbor area at eBay.

However, I would be interested in having whatever info you have on "Gigdot" such as his email address, eBay feedback page URL and an email header details that you might have. With this info I will be able to cross-reference the TrollHunter DB and see if there are any matches.

If he's a known troll on the forums, or can be found there, then we can better serve to warn and look out for him.

I have contacted the seller, he said, he will really ship out the case today. So, I hope he does what he says.

Do not daudle in this situation. The time frame allotted for disputing charges is limited, even more so with debit/check cards. If you do not receive your item within 10 days of his assurance, start the dispute with your bank immediately. I have found Ebay to be a very lousy source for my technilogical needs. A2Z sent me a bag of audio cables with a label that read "non-conforming", and when I contacted them, they tried to assure me they were new, just in a used bag (but the cables were dirty, either from being pulls, or the bag was dirty)...and there's plenty more where that came from (bad experiences on Ebay).

My solution to avoid being ripped of in any way on ebay is to make sure they have no complaints
