Kids Buying a new pc.

I have posted this question earlier on the improper thread.
I seeking advice from the members of this forum. I want to buy a new pc. I am not a gamer. Just a casual user that desires a decent running machine. I have had the major reseller experience. I don't care to go there anymore.
I would like to have a custom built machine. I would build it myself but a problem with my hands forbids me from doing that.
I've read the reseller ratings thoroughly.
I think I am leaning toward Nutrend or ABS.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated.
Thanks. birddogj

Well if you want to take a chance in another big reseller perhaps you can try dell. They have ok deals.
Be careful if you are going to buy something from online companies. They may put really cheap parts in there or may not be a good company at all.
You can check on the company here.
www.resellerratings.com
Oops you been there.
Also there are a couple people that build custom computers.
1. Mntsnow www.xtremepccentral.com is his forums. He can be found there. He owns a computer business. Real nice guy.

i also build computers.
www.hawkshardware.com is the site
and www.hawkshardware.com/computer.php is the direct link.

I just ordered a pc from Nutrend. It should arrive next week. I'll let you know how it went.

I chose Nutrend because 1) Their prices are low. 2) All the recent reviews (from this year) on resellerratings.com were positive 3)they tell you what brand their components are, and they seem to choose manufacturers with good reputations. For example, they use Kingston memory and Lite-On CDRW drives.

Just for your information, Nutrend, ABS, and Newegg are all the same company.

The ABS site seems to put up a slightly more polished image, but charges a bit more than Nutrend. Really the same product though.

I'll post again when my computer arrives from nutrend.

For your situation something like Dell is a good option. Dell will provide you with a good warrenty, and a good machine for the price! Keep checking Doc's Deals, as sometimes I've seen fully loaded P4 1.8 machines for $400 or so.

My Nutrend PC arrived a couple days ago. I'm very happy with it. It arrived on time, with nice documentation. They give you a binder that holds documentation for all the various cards and drives, with driver discs and stuff.

One problem I has was when I tried to re-install video drivers from the included cd (the reason for the re-install was my fault), for some reason it didn't work. So I downloaded the nVidia drivers and that worked fine.

It arrived on time, and it rocks. Very nice!
