ibuypower.com

I'm buying a new system in a couple of weeks, and right now I'm leaning toward ibuypower.com, due to the low price/good components/good rating on resellerratings.com.

Has anybody heard or experienced anything about this company that makes them a bad choice?

^update!

Well I got it today

Ordered it on 5/30 got it on 6/11

The people who wanted it paid for 7-15 shipping.

Came all wrapped up nicely in the box, came with drivers for everything.

Only thing working on right now

cd-rw worked in the begginng and i installed win2k. Reboot after installation and now the bios nor win2k see the cd-rw

Plus win2k was randomly restarting itself, so installed winxp. Works like a champ. I tried to cd-rw on my main machine and it couldn't see it. so im going to take it into work try it and then RMA it. its an OEM 24X10X40 I guess that’s what i get for going cheap

Also i was supposed to get an Gigabyte motherboard but they gave me an upgrade to an MSI KT3 Ultra board for free since they were out of the motherboard i wanted. Sort of wanted the Gigabyte since im familiar. oh well. Working good so far

10/10 so far in my books. would buy from them again

Thanks very much for the info.

I'm kind of worried about something like your cdrw problem happening to me, especially since I don't really have the know-how to fix it.

know-how = asking questions from all the good, helpful folks here and then if need be sending the defective part back for a replacement (RMA).

toad is right, don't speed to much time troubleshooting hardware. espically if its new. and don't go cheap and not buy a name brand cd-rw i like and you will be fine

^update

I tried the drive in 5 different machines, no go. I called up IBUYPOWER.com there sending me a replacement in 3 days. Along with an envelope so I don't have to pay shipping back to them.

A+ experience!

Just remember gorath any online business you deal with, involves risk of getting defective equipment. Its not just limited to one store!

wow GZ3, I guess they are a good company.. Just like Ground said, you're probably going to get defective hardware from any company. It's just how some companies handle it that makes them better...
