Z-Buy.com ripped me off
I just wanted to let people know that I have been ripped off by Z-Buy.com. They sold me a faulty motherboard and when I returned it to them using their return policy, they jerked me around and would not even acknowledge receiving the motherboard, even when I told them who signed for it using the tracking number from UPS. They gave me a different story each time I called and they still refuse to admit having the motherboard. They have had the motherboard for two weeks. So buyer beware of Z-Buy.com! They are crooks in my book. Please let as many people know this as you can. Thanks for your help.

Go to www.resellerratings.com and rate them. So far, they are doing OK, with a 7-something out of ten-but returns and tech support look like a sore spot (which seems typical).

They screwed me over a couple years ago as well on a return. I let my credit card company take care of 'em. In another forum I have a message about how *deleted* they are in my sig. I guess I was lucky - I actually received a replacement motherboard. Here is part of the letter I sent Z-buy after receiving the replacement (they never responded).
"I paid for a NEW motherboard. The board I originally received was new, albeit defective. Because of the defect, I was forced to return it. I did not receive a NEW motherboard as a replacement.
The board I returned was a NEW Asus A7A266 version 1.10. The board I received in return was an OBSOLETE, used, A7A266 version 1.03. Among
the differences between the two boards that I found are, 1) the 1.03 board has no provision for changing the CPU multiplier, which the 1.10
allows; and, 2) the 1.03 version has no provision for swapping the center channel on the audio output.
What it boils down to is, at this time, I do not have that for which I paid! I paid for a NEW, FUNCTIONAL motherboard of the latest revision.
What I have is somebody else's obsolete reject."
As I said, Z-buy has never responded to this letter, and now, 5 months later, one channel of the sound doesn't work, and the second DDR socket won't acknowledge all the memory installed in it.
Z-Buy? Should be Don't buy!

I had a problem with them a couple months ago, ordered a modem and in the ship reciept I noticed they sent a different one then I purchased which I knew was incompatable (actually a newer version)---I refused delivery from UPS and zbuy promised to credit my card minus shipping costs---had to remind them the following month, I was credited the next month but was charged a 27$ "re-stocking" fee so the modem cost me 39$ and I never even touched it----sucks...

Z-Buy = DON'T BUY
Well, after I posted here, I posted a comment on reseller ratings. The next day I received a private note stating that the RMA number I quoted did not apply, so they could not find my order, and that I should send them the correct number.
By return, I sent a copy of their original RMA email to the guy who wrote me.
As expected, I have heard nothing back!
Z-Buy = DON'T BUY

Your credit card company will take care of it and you won't be stuck paying. If they don't, find a new credit card company.

I wish I had thought of that six months ago, but I believe it is too late now to go to the credit card company.
By the way, the rules are different for Visa check cards. It is almost impossible to get something done about problems when you used one of them.
