Best reseller/custom pc vendor?

Just wondered if there were some opinions on this. I'm seriouly considering Minotaur but I've seen other places cheaper like Mwave; however, mwave isn't on this site and ive seen no reviews. I'm too chicken to put it together myself but I have all the parts picked.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to TechIMO!

MWave is one of the most popular sites. It is Multiwave. http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2089.html

I usually use mwave.com or newegg.com.

Dave

www.newegg.com is a great site for computer parts, but they don't sell complete PCs to my knowledge.

Don't refer him to computergeeks! They don't sell hardly any up-to-date hardware! They're all old junk...and 90% of the junk I've ordered from them broke within 2 months (lasted just long enough to not get a refund!).

Yeah right, computer geeks for naive. Mostly used junk they bought cheap and selling for pretty penny.
Recent example: advertised special Phillips CDRW 8x4x32 for like $44, used and outdated. And some web sites advertised that as a deal!

And about TCWO check Better Business Bureau to find out what happens when you need their customer service. BBB has nice wrap on them. The only good prices they have were advertised pricewatch AMD deals. Not any more.

Newegg rules absolutely. If they stay on the track for another year or two they will become Walmart of computer parts and I bet they will start opening retail outlet stores. I wish them good luck because they are the proof that a good honest business is the best advertisment one can get.

I've done business with Mwave numerous times and have recieved ever piece I ordered on time, in good working condition except for one. They swapped a case on me, which could have been a packing accident, or they may have substituted it for the one I ordered. I didn't bother to call them on it because the case they sent was just as nice.

Best custom place I've done business with is OutsideLoop Computers. Bill and Dave Jeffers are excellent technically, assemble from top shelf components, will work with you to put together whatever you want -- even stuff they don't normally carry, and provide excellent tech support. Their prices aren't the lowest, but they are quite reasonable given the quality of components. How many places do you know that pickup on the 1st or 2nd ring, and you actually talk to a human! And that human is usually one of the owners!!! OLP is listed in Reseller Ratings . I've bought two systems from them the past 3 years, and have recommended them to many friends. Not one person has been unhappy or dissatisfied.

Mwave.com
Newegg.com
Axiontech.com
Directron.com
Allstarshop.com
compgeeks.com

All of these are solid vendors I have ordered from before. Newegg probably has the best combination of customer service and prices, imo, but watch their shipping charges. I have RMA'd a couple of times from them with no questions asked.
