Don't buy from Thermalmasters (www.thermalmasters.com)!!

I placed an order for a TT Volcano 7+ CPU Cooler and a TT Tiger1 i845 Chipset Cooler with these guys on Mar 9. More than a week later, I got an email from them stating that the $6 they initially asked for shipping was not enough for regular air mail and asked for $18 more. So, I sent them the additional funds immediately. It has been a month now, and after several unsuccessful attempts to reach them via email and by phone (a PHS btw), nothing has happened. Now I'm trying to get my money back (~$77) via Yahoo! and/or PayPal (eventually my credit card company).

Some of you may know that the TT Volcano 7+ was in short supply back in Mar, and Thermalmasters was the only vendor that time who had them and could ship internationally. They were also on the list of recommended online vendors on the Thermaltake website. They use Yahoo! for order handling, and also accepts PayPal payments.

I don't know if anyone else has ordered from this site (the owner seems to be a person named "Michael Guo") and had similar or different experience. A friend of mine in CA who was able to speak to someone (though she insists she's not connected with Thermalmasters) said that they might be going out of business. I searched the forums for this vendor, but it came out empty.

All I can suggest is never even think about ordering from this website. I tried contacting them many times via e-mail and was never answered. After calling many times I got ahold of the person in charge of this company he told me the Thermaltake w008r powersupply was out of stock and that he could send me the w009r and a thermal take cold cathode light instead. I agreed since the w0008r has pfc and the 9r does not. After him telling me he would send my order two times I never received it. I contacted my credit card company shortly after. Yep I too got ripped off by these jerks! No shipping confirmation was ever sent, no product was ever delivered, all of my emails to them have gone unanswered and my bank account has been charged.

I wish I had found this site sooner; I would have never bought from Thermalmasters if I had.

Well guess I am just out $139.00. One mistake I will never make again that’s for sure.

p.s. yes I too went through yahoo shopping, even made an attempt to contact there customer care but I doubt it will do any good.
