I placed an order with Buy.com on Friday for a 125 channel WinTV USB tv tuner. I paid $8 for the overnight shipping. I've yet to receive it. I understand that some companies don't ship on Saturday so I figured I would wait until Monday to check the status. Still the same - "sent to warehouse". From what I can find from thier site, that means the order was approved and waiting to ship. Me thinks not in stock??? The site claimed the item was in stock when I ordered it.

I am starting this thread to find out if any of y'all have dealt with them and how it went. I intend to evaluate them when I get some more information - be it good or bad. I sent them an email this morning.

I always check out a retailers standing and read the reviews at ResellerRatings before I deal with the company. Rule of thumb for me is not to order from a company that doesn't have an 800 number and I went against it this time. I order 90% of my computer parts online (a couple of grand a month) for the systems I build. I'm not really concerned at this point about a $100 TV card but if the order was for a complete system(s) for a grand or so, I'd be pretty hot that I can't contact a human being to find out what's going on.

I really am very interested in other members expeirence with Buy.com - good or bad before I review them - I'm trying to give them the benefit of doubt at this point and keep an unbiased attitude right now.

Currently have bought well over $1,000 worth of goods from Buy.com. Never had a problem with them. All orders were completed on time and in full. One thing I will say about their order status page is that it doesn't always update right away. I've had stuff ship, and it still says "Sent To Warehouse".
Overall I think they're a great company. I hope you get your order quickly.

I have ordered from them numerous times in the past with no troubles. I just ordered something last Saturday as well, and remember reading something along the lines of: We only ship on weekdays. So, expect them to ship your order by Tuesday (if the item said 24-48 hours for availability time).

I have bought from Buy.com many different times without any problems.

If you go to Buy.com and sign in you will have access to view your order. What does that status of your order say? Is it on backorder? Is it still processing?

When you pay for overnite shipping, it will not be overnited until the order is ready to leave the warehouse. You can read more on there site. I tried to leave a link but cant get it to work.

I've logged in and checked since Saturday and the staus has been "Sent to Warehouse".

It's good to see some people haven't had any problems. I try to make it a point to give a site a good review when the order goes as planned or better. It's all too often that human nature kicks in when we've had a problem to flame the company but don't give credit for a good expierence.

I just received an email saying the order has shipped - to the wrong address .

When I checked the status yesterday, I noticed that the delivery address and shipping address were the same. I specifically put the Florida address in the ship to line as there isn't anyone in NY to receive it . I changed it up on the site AND sent them an email. They are appearantly four days behind what they can handle. Now I'll have to have someone pick it up from the house and ship it to me down here. If I had gone to CompUSA I would've saved a weeks time and about $35.

My reveiw won't be nice .

Sorry to hear that your order didn't ship properly.
I've done different shipping/billing addresses with no problem. There are always flaws in the system, just too bad that you unfortunately got caught by it.

I've experienced delayed shipping from them before. Usually only on odd ball stuff (scsi cables, BNC cables). Some odd cables I ordered took a couple of weeks even though they said in stock. The main stream stuff (hard drives, modems, etc) we quick.
