airsoftmeastore nightmare

After 3 good purchases from Airsoftmegastore I decided to purchase A higher end gun from them.
I received the gun and after 20 shots or so it makes a loud clunk noise and totally freezes.
I called and was given the normal "what bb's were you using questions". I was told I could pay to ship it back to them and it would take 4-6 weeks to have it fixed and sent back.
The gun weighs almost 20 pounds (A&K m60) and would cost 35 to ship...I also express my concern over the long wait to get it fixed.
The representative (Mike) told me that if I knew a place that repairs airsoft guns they would refund me the cost of repairs.
I took it to be repaired and faxed them a receipt. I received an email saying "Were sorry for your trouble with your purchase...what bb's were you using? We will gladly fix your airsoft gun."
I wrote back and explained everything all over again. They sent an email back saying "Were sorry for your trouble with your purchase...what bb's were you using? We will gladly fix your airsoft gun."
I called this time, frustrated with the cookie cutter emails. I was told I would have to submit a claim through ups...since they shipped it. Just for giggles I called UPS who promptly said "Sounds like airsoftmegastore is trying to pass the buck"
I called airsoftmegastore again (who once again had no clue what was going on) who this time said "why'd you send us a cost for repairs?".
Now they claim thy would never have told me to go get it repaired.
Thank god my bank says this is fraud and that I can file a dispute over the cost of the repairs.
It is totally obvious now that they have no communication and don't back up what they say.
Their a good store till they make a mistake.

Just an update.
I called Airsoftmegastore today and after speaking with 3 different people ive been told 3 different things.

1: "You musty of misunderstood what he told you. He meant ship it to us and we'll repair it". I asked why would you then refund me the cost of repair if your gonna fix it?.
After about a 10 second silence was told "SIR!!!!....you just misunderstood". Then hung up.
2: Was told. "He wouldn't of told you that sir". "Any future matters pertaining to your order must be handled by email"...then hung up.
3: 3rd attempt was met with "We don't have a Mike working here." I asked if he wasn't a manager or someone in charge. THEY HUNG UP AGAIN.
I hope my complaint with the BBB goes better then my phone conversations.

I sent them another email the other day. I would love to see how they respond to this.
Sir, I tried calling your customer service which wouldnt even speak to me. You state its against your policy to outsource repairs, then why tell me to get it repaired then? I was told I misunderstood what was told to me. Why would you refund me for repairs you would do then? Im sure its also against policy to send out a used gun as well. I was told thats how you recieve them from the manufacturer, if thats the case im sure the chinese put dirt on the box mag for realism.
If I do not recieve a refund for the repair cost then I will most certainly just pack the gun up...ship it to you. Then contest the charges. This is fraud on several levels and I would easily win that fight. I would rather loose the money I paid for repairs then be lied to.
So im giving them the choice...loose the repair cost..or loose everything on the sale. But they'll prolly just ship it to some other sap

Ok, now they wrote me back.
Dear Mr. Graham,

Thank you for contacting Airsoft Megastore. I apologize for the confusion in your situation as we definitely do not reimburse for third party repairs. Do you have any documentation of the claim regarding us reimbursing you the charge? (THEY KNOW I WAS TOLD THIS OVER THE PHONE!!) If you can provide a ticket number documenting the offer then we will investigate, and be more than happy to reimburse you for it, however without the written proof there is nothing we can do. The only other option would be is we can issue an RMA to have the gun sent back to us so we can repair the gun at no cost to you (AND ITS ALREADY FIXED). We can also send you a return shipping label that will cover the cost to ship the gun back to us.

I know you stated you called in, and I was actually monitoring a call when you spoke to my representative Tim (SO NOW MIKE DOES EXIST!?!?!?!)who explained to you that we do not offer third party repairs. He informed you that having another airsoft store repair your gun voids the warranty with us. He also informed you that we will make a one-time exception in having the gun returned to us for repair even though another airsoft store was about to do the repair (ALREADY HAD IN AND REPAIRED). At the time, you stated that you will go and get the gun back to have it sent to us so our technicians could repair the gun (NO I SAID I DIDNT KNOW IF I COULD GET THE GUN BACK TO YOU....CUZ ITS ALREADY BEEN FIXED).

Regarding your claim of that we sent you a used gun; I show no mention of that in your original email or in any of your responses until now. We do not sell used items, and pose them as new. All guns are brand new straight from the manufacturer. If you had stated the gun was used, we would have asked for the gun back, and sent you a new gun.

THEY KNOW VERY WELL THEY TOLD ME THIS OVER THE PHONE AND THEN TRIED TO RECANT THIS.
Well looks like ill have to file a dispute...this is fraud.

I was sent an email telling me they cant and wont help me, said they made a fair deal
HERES THEIR DEAL
1: ship them back the gun for a new one...minus the 25% restock
WHICH MEANS I OWE THEM 75$
2:have them repair it (which is already done) and have to wait 6-8 weeks if they can...if not 4-6 months for the manufacturer to repair it.

I feel your pain, tanker19. Purchasing from AirsoftMegastore is a gamble at best.

I wrote Airsoftmegastore. They sent me a return shipping label and I returned the gun. They in return have promised me a full store credit. I have agreed to not file a dispute on my card and not to post any more bad comments. I will keep my word as long as they keep there's.
I kept the paperwork for the dispute encase they don't live up to their end of the bargain. But I wont file it unless I have to. (I am a man of my word).
