SIIG
This company sell peripheries...Go to NewEgg and read the reviews on their card readers.
Pros: Five year warranty.
Cons: Coffin Product. DOA
Other Thoughts: Purchase product directly from SIIG. The first one is still functioning.
I purchase their item because it had a five year warranty, however, the company itself will not give a refund on a DOA item and the customer has to pay return shipping.
Moreover, this information is NOT contained on their website.
Rather disingenuous don't you think.
I will never purchase another item from them again....

I called four days ago for a RMA and have not received a return call..... This is just another indication, as to how worthless this company truly is..

I have always had a mistrust for SIIG hardware. For me, it seems that their manufacturing is not done well. I bought a NIC 10T card back 1999 and that stopped working within a month.

They charge $30+ for a card reader which should cost them less than $10 to produce, hence the consumer should own a high quality product, but based on feed back (reviews) it is nothing of the kind...
The fact that they will not take DOA items back speaks volumes about their product line...

| I have return the item back to PIIG, in order to receive a credit...A $10.oo shipping charge to return a DOA item...
They received it on 5.5.10 and despite my written instruction, send out another unit eight days later....
We will see where this thing goes!

Matters Settled.
The charge back is final! Of course, as I spoke with a bank official, this company sent out another unit despite the fact that I instructed otherwise...
That deliver was rejected and the item returned to PIIG or SIIG...
