Beware of LEAPFROG ISP

Ok, I know this isn't about a store merchant, it is about an ISP company. Leapfrog Internet LLC only provides dialup connections. After using them for well over 5 years, I notified them that I wanted to cancel my account. Their "rules" require you to give notice by email or registered mail only. They do not accept cancellations by phone. And, your account is not cancelled until you get a confirmation by email from them. (I know, RED FLAG, RED FLAG) Although I cancelled the first part of LAST WEEK, I still have not heard from them, and I've sent 2 more emails and tried calling them. When you call them you only get an answering machine. What really has pissed me off is that they went ahead and charged me for another month via automatic debit, after I cancelled. So, if anyone is even looking for a dialup ISP, don't use Leapfrog Internet.

Did you do the snail mail thing?

Course this mail thing is a real good idea and helps keep your ex-girl friend from calling them just to make you upset.

You should be able to prostest the last charge with your bank.

Wow. Sorry to hear about that bad experience of yours. I also hate automatic payments!

UPDATE : My bank, won my dispute over the next month's charge and got my money back. Leapfrog is in Colorado, and I'm in California.
