Newegg fake CPU controversy

Hopefully Newegg has learned a lesson from this and will consider more than price when picking a supplier,this is what can happen when you go with a gray market dealer rather than an authorized Intel reseller.

Googled the company and could not find a website, Michaels...

This is a ghost company and a PR slap in the face for Egg.

According to information dug up by a Hardforum member,IPEX is a part of ASI Corp,a large supplier who is an authorized Intel reseller. ASI is denying it has anything to do with IPEX,yet they're listed as the registrant of IPEX's domain,and the same man is president of both companies. The whole thing just gets more convoluted as it goes along! Not sure if we'll ever know the full truth of what happened.

Went to their website only to have Avast announce a virus and then I was discounted...

Nice, very nice...No address, no telephone number in their contact page.....
