Beware of Rocket Camera, Monterey Pk. CA

I purchased a very expensive Canon EF 16-35mm lens from Rocket camera in January of 2010, (costing $1387). When the box arrived, inside I found instead of the lens, a 2lb roll of UPS labels. I immediately called rocket and spoke with Anna Solano in customer sales who told me she would "open a ticket" with UPS. Anna said it would probably take 7 to 10 business days. On February 18 I received an email from Rocket indicating that the claim was settled with UPS and I would receive a full refund. An hour later, I received another email from Rocket saying that "since I opened a case with American Express, that I should fight it out with them". The perfect SCAM: bill the consumer, commit fraud and collect a refund from UPS! Who gets screwed, the consumer. I have filed a complaint with the CA Attorney Generals office but I don't expect that they will do anything!
The bottom line; STAY AWAY FROM ROCKET CAMERA!

That glass is on my short list. It probably goes without saying to dispute it with the credit card. I mention it just in case you haven't yet.

And since you bought it and have an order/invoice number you can do a review against them here on this site.
