I just filed a complaint with the NY Attorney General's Office... I was told that if the victims of thunder cameras were to file 6-10 complaints action will be taken... go to the link below, file an official complaint... lets shut these criminals down and send them to jail!

Hey everyone... thundercameras robbed and lied me out of almost $700.. I called I wrote them, to no avail. I posted a link yesterday about filing a complaint with Attorney General's Office... 7 minutes after my post thunder cameras called me 7 times... I told them I'd call the cops if they didn't stop calling... so then they sent me this email...
"Dear sir ,
We are sorry we couldn't get to you sooner, but we were verifying your claims, and they were correct , so as promised i will honor that price/ I am going to credit your account $200.00 for the inconvenience , please call me if you have any questions at 718-223-2933 ext 100 .
Very sorry for the inconvenience , I hope you and your family have a happy new year ,"

Thundercameras credited my account only after I filed a complaint with the Attorney General... if you want your money back go to the following link and file a complaint...

Also please help spread the word... by re-posting the link with your story...these weasels must be stopped or they will continue to prey on the unsuspecting! The internet is not policed... So lets ban together and police it ourselves!

I ordered a Nikon Telephoto AF Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G ED-IF on September 1, 2010 and received it September 21, 2010. I paid $809. The box had been opened and no warranty card was inside. The web site said it was a USA model but what I received was an import. I called ThunderCamera and they said they filled out the card and sent it in. I called Nikon and they said they did not. They also said the web site said Import. Since I suspected dishonesty from them I had saved the HTML code of the Lens and sent it to them showing they were lying and that it said USA Model.

Looks like I will be using your link also.

I feel your pain... i bought a 7D and a lens from them... I paid extra for a warranty... there is non... they told the camera came without a battery and charger i spent an extra $480 for a $3 battery that does not work with the 7D and a $4 charger... they didn't respond to my calls or emails until i filed with the Atty Gen. office...

I did some more digging... they get most of their victims from nextag.com... they bombard the reviews page with bs generic reviews... maintaining a 4 star standing... Their price on the 7D a little over $900 on Nextag... when the average is $1500 from legitimate retailers.... the horror stories on nextag review page are similar to ours.

I wrote nextag cause they would not put up my review with the link to the atty gen... i told nextag that if they don't cut ties with thundercameras i would include nextag in my complaint with the gov...

let's see what nextag does... nextag is supplying us, sheep to thundercameras slaughter...

I will contact B&H and Adorama next to let them know where their business is going to try and get them to help prosecute these guys...

definitely file a report.. and spread the word... we are the only thing that stand between another unsuspecting consumer and the criminals at thundercameras

I have also been blackmailed my them. When i placed ordered for $100, after 2 day they say that item was not available and has been sold out. They just gave back $60 and i have to bear $40 loss. It's very sad in fact.

Thunder Cameras

Canon PowerShot SD780-is.

I ordered this camera a month ago on-line and had initial difficulties with merchant, as they insist you call them to verify the order, ie. want to sell you more stuff. I cancelled the initial order and they called back and made it good at the advertised price. I ordered an additional camera on-line, same model and the same protocal by the merchant, a couple of days later I received an email stating I needed to call them which is a real hassle. Times a waisting. Today, they went through the same sales pitch as before, first asking if you want a battery with the camera and then stating the one that comes with it only lasts 20 minutes. The next advisement, which I wasn't given the first time is, "And you are aware that this is an imported model and has NO 1 year USA manufacturer's warranty as well as all the manuals and CD Rom will all be in Japenese Language."

The prices are great but you better double check the type of warranty and printed materials you will receive if that's important to you.
