APC Customer Service..

Call Technical Support for their backup products and they will lie to you. They'll ask for your telephone number to "call you back in case you're disconnected" but when I *was* disconnected, I received no call back. They also try to get your physical address. When I called yet again a 3rd time to file a CS complaint, they acted like they couldn't care less.

APC has lost a repeat customer. I'll find another company for my backup replacement needs.

That's correct. I was rather surprised at the aloof attitude of their Sales department in regard to my complaint about the sneaky and dismissive tactics by their 2 offshore customer service reps (which tells me that they are condoned and part of their policy).

Companies that do not support their customers should be grounded into obsurity...

Please consider Tripplite, for your next choice of a UPS...

This is what puzzles me about many businesses....They have just completed the most difficult part of the business cycle - obtaining a well heeled customer...

Then they just toss them away by not providing (inexpensive) customer service...Don't they realize, that "x" number of calls will result in future sales and happy customers?

Apparently, this firm does not care about word of mouth (which is really cheap) to generate additional sales?

Instead, they lost a valued customer and generated bad publicity...
