| Never and I mean NEVER, order from any company which does business out of NYC, unless it comes highly recommended...Many of the scam companies are HQed there....
It is America's, Nigeria....
BTW, Crimson, I believe it is legal to tape in most states...

Update from Att.Gen
Hello, i've been very busy to keep up with this. However i have some new info to update.

This is the message:
Personal Name,
I would like to say I’m sorry for the experience you had with our company. We have no
intension to mislead or hurt any of our valuable customers. We strive very hard to keep
everyone happy and most of all to come back. As you know there is little to non loyaltity
when it comes to online purchases so working closely with our customers is our number one
goal because word of mouth goes a long way.
Your situation was recently brought to my attention. Id just like to say once again that I apologize.
This type of reaction from our customer service rep is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
Just to keep you up to speed on our actions we had let Elliot go, for the simply reason that
this is not how we treat customers. We have 44 employees here many of which have families
that they support. The truth is this ordeal really effects each and everyone of us here and we
could not afford to have Elliot ruin it. Please have it in your heart to forgive us.
I can understand how you feel and wish there was a way I can change your feelings about
our company. If there is anything I can do for you please let me know. I would personally
handle any of purchases or needs.
Sincerely,
Dan Peterson
AccessoryCircut.com
Operations Manager
I also received a phone call from a man named Steve after i checked my email and was going to respond by email. The number was an unknown number and the man explained that he was terribly sorry for what i experienced and he wanted to do anything in his power to help me. He explained that this was a side business (not his exact words) that they mainly specialize in camera bags. He also said that Elliot was fired and that a new Supervisor would be put in Elliot's place. Steve also asked me if he could do anything to change my perspective online about AccessoryCircut.com. I explained that there was nothing they could do. I was pressured a few times to take other products in exchange. I was asked what i had, like i pod, camera, camcorder, so he could give me something for my trouble. I said no, i dont feel morally right taking something in exchange for my truthful experience. I also explained my concerns with the company and why i went as far as to express my experience online. He was understanding but, he still wanted me to change my mind. I told him i couldn't do it. I wouldn't be able to shop with them again and i couldn't simply recommend AC.com to anyone. He asked if he could call me tomorrow so i could think about it. I said yes. When they called i decided not to answer since i received a letter from the Att.Gen. explaining that they were looking into this case and have passed it on to the Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protection. They expressed they will contact me in the near future. I have not received a phone call from AC.com since.
If this is genuine like i explained to Steve, I have no problem with someone expressing that they are sorry. But, as a person with morals and strong philosophical beliefs.. i couldnt simply retract my statements. What would that look like to the public? People who have spent time reading my expierence. It would all be in vain. If i was someone reading this and then saw that the person retracted their statements I would be alarmed. So i will not retract my statement.
One problem that i do have though and has also led to me to believe that this was not genuine. AC.com's Ratings have Elliot listed as the operations manager and manager. I thought this man was the Supervisor? I thought that he was fired? Very Satisfied

I have read the reviews on this company and was alittle concerned since I had already placed my order. My concerns were dismissed after I spoke with Elliot, General Manager, and then did some checking of my own. I checked with vivitar and found that the charger and battery I received was sold by them, however they no longer use the company they contracted to produce them. So even though these have been replaced, the vivitar rep assured me that the items I received are quality items with no defects. Vivitar will still stand behind their products and not to worry. I relayed this back to the company, and as in my prior phone conversations, they were very professional and thankful. I would buy from them again. It is very common for small businesses to purchase close out items from companies and sell them at a lower price, after all some of the big warehouse companies do the same thing. I have had a good experience with this company and disagree with some of the other reviews. Very Satisfied

I was under the impression that I was ordering a genuine Canon BP 819 Battery & Charger. I received a battery that works in my camera and the charger also charges that battery. I called Accessory Circuit and made them aware that I wasn't completely satisfied with my purchase. I spoke with Elliott (The Manager) and he assured me that Customer Satisfaction is their priority and promised to issue me a partial credit on my Visa. So I am very satisfied with this agreement.
Thanks in Advance Elliott.
Roger

So in my humble opinion... Why would "Elliot" still be listed as a "manager" if he was "fired"? The review was written on the 27th and Elliot was supposedly fired by the 22nd?
Sorry dont believe ya. Also thought it was funny how Steve said "we are not the kind of business who will just open up a new domain name"....

| Crimson, well at least they have apologized for their actions...
Funny though, they said nothing about getting your Sony charger....
According to the reviews of this company, there are all to many complaints about baiting customers...
The letter writer did not even address this seminal issue...
I think they have decided to cut their loss and issue a letter of regret...
I hope that Mr Peterson, can log on and apologize for all the threats and combative posts made, on behalf of his company....I will not hold my breath...
Bring in the sheep, bring in the sheep, we come rejoicing bring in the sheep.....

Yes i was actually surprised to be treated like a human from this company for once. I felt more human posting my experience and getting responses here than i did before he called. I gave it a lot of thought whether to continue but, i feel with the letter i received from the Att.Gen. they feel strong enough to look into this, and if they find something well, then i just saved lots of potential customers from getting the same experience i had or worse. Many before me have done this and i feel that warning people about negative deals can help them be more educated in the future. I mean look at me.. I am not a very experienced "internet buyer". I have bought maybe a total of 8 things ever in my lifetime online. I only use the internet to buy things that i cannot get cheaper at a store. And i'm a very savvy shopper so i rarely have to use the internet for shopping. Even though the internet is a great way to buy on the cheap!
My problem is the approach. I feel like they should of known better for requesting me to change my posts. That is the biggest red flag of all for me. I can totally understanding wanting to compensate someone for their troubles. i can even understand just talking to the person in a way to make them feel like a human being.
Well we'll see... I'll let you know more when i hear/find something new.

Crimson,
Don't let them take you with yet another tactic; I have seen first hand someone receive a phone call about their business and respond by assuring the complaintent that the employee in question would be fired.
This is a play on your emotions because you didn't respond to the intimidation and merchandise ploys.
Just because you're not ending world hunger doesn't mean you're wasting your efforts. Keep up with your complaint and make a difference.
Frostbite, keep up the support!

| Thank you kindly, XXX!
Yes, most consumers, Crimson, simply move on, which allows the offender to carry on...I am glad that you have decide to purse this matter...
Mr Peterson, did not address the ongoing complaints from other reviewers, charging B&S....
Nor did he mention any problems with your order....The way to end this thread is - I am sorry and he got fired...
The problem is, that Mr Peterson never addressed the nature of your complaint...
If this thread would make page one or two of google, it will not serve AC.com well...
There have been at least five B&S complaints on just two pages of reviews, which means there is a possibility of hundreds more, IMO...

Dear Crimson,
We are sorry for this whole situation, and we wish it had never happened. While we may disagree with some of your comments we work very hard to try and make everyone happy.
As far as the charger, to answer the other gentleman’s question, yes it is back in stock. As far as other complaints, again we try to satisfy everyone. Like you said, satisfied customers will not take the measure to post a positive review only clients who feel upset will. We have 61 reviews and about 9 are not positive, 51 are . We are trying very hard to please our customers and have put new policies and procedures in place to make sure what you experienced won’t happen again. Please accept our sincere apologies and would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention. Lastly to address your concern about the previous employee he is no longer with the company. The reviews may have been older ones posted while he was still with us . To quote Alexander Pope
“To err is human; to forgive is divine”
Sincerely,
Dan Peterson

AccessoryCircut,
Of course you wish this whole situation never occurred; however, the issue of bait and switch remains in question.
On other sites where people left reviews about your store, the common complaint seems to be bait and switch.
If Crimson's case were truly isolated and not common practice, then why are there other people making comments about this issue?
Furthermore, why don't you add a quote from the maniac, "If there's smoke, there's fire".

I agree with you and thankyou everyone who has supported me on this issue. Thats how they made it seem like i was the only person in the world who had ever had this problem with their company. I have noticed a few sites where people have retracted their statements about other companies. some of the companies still exists, some of them dont, and some of them still have questionable business practices.
