An addendum to my original post. Over the years I've read about a number of bad experiences people have had w/ Tiger Direct, but now that they're owned by Systemax, reviews seemed to have turned around. Since CircuitCity.com is part of the same group, and not receiving much feedback to my original post, I decided to take the plunge and order a monitor from them. But first, I did a little test. The Circuit City web site states that if you find any discrepancies on their web site pertaining to the products they have for sale, notify them and they will correct the descriptions. I found one of their monitors that had some incorrect data, so I notified them. Got the, as expected, robo notification that they had received my communication. Next day I received an email from an associate at Circuit City that my notice of discrepancy was being forwarded to the appropriate personel for resolution. Have to say I've never gotten a follow-up from any other web site when I notified them that their descriptions were wrong.
So, I went ahead and ordered my LG monitor from CircuitCity.com. Received full notification of receipt of order, when monitor was shipped and shipping tracking number. Received the monitor three days after ordering. No complaints w/ CircuitCity.com here.
