PCCZone -- stay away from them

This Canadian operation is a sham. Their web site shows stock they don't have on hand, then they use an account verification process that can take up to 4 weeks plus 10 days to ship according to them to buy them time to fill your order. Once an order is placed, even if they cannot fill it (that is, advertise having stock but don’t), you will be charged 15% value of order including shipping and taxes, for canceling — even during the so-called credit verification process which takes a minimum of two days. Of course, during this process, they have already billed your card for an order they cannot as yet fill. Their terms and conditions are the worst I have ever seen — should have raised a red flag for me but they had! stock and should be able to ship immediately, right? (No, because their web site cannot be believed -- looks great though) Worst still, the consumer protection laws of Quebec favour the vendor, not the consumer. Not all terms and conditions are spelled out on their web site either. This is a shady operation of the worst kind — they have enough savvy to get listed on price searches with reasonable pricing on hot products but don’t appear to actually inventory anything. They do not provide phone support on web orders and force you into a prolonged email exchange — and then outright lie to your face with all sorts of excuses as to why they must charge you 15% for an order they can’t fill contrary to their web site. Stay away from them. They’re crooks. Google “pcczone reviews” to see complaints against them.

Sorry you got burned...But, the moral to this story is to Google for reviews before placing order

Thanks for the sympathies. Guess I've been lucky for the most part dealing on the web. Have never had any problems over the years, even on ebay (though they do have online ratings readily viewable). But there is always a first time. Lesson learned. Like the old phone scams, the internet is now the new playground for these people.

Anarkee is infamous around these parts
Thanks man,

I know this thread is two years old...........

but it saved me from using this company, the had a Motherboard listed for about $50 cheaper than newegg and I was tempted to order.

The site "looked" professionl and the first couple of reviews about them were decent, luckily there was a link to your post in one of the comments on one of the reviews on Pcczone that I read.

I was close to placing about at $1400 order with them....

Thanks again....
