my3cents.com no longer available?
For the past two weeks I have not been able to load the pages for my3cents.com. Does anyone know if this site has been discontinued?

Still getting page load errors or connection failed, try again. I am wondering if it's possible our ISP has this blocked as they did get some negative reviews. I'll have to try this from the library.

Hello Volunteer! Are you still having trouble accessing our site? We have encountered a few other consumers that are having the same issue.
From our testing, it appears our site is being blocked at some level. We are trying to figure out if there is a common ISP we can contact regarding this.
If you don't mind sharing, what ISP do you use?
Thanks and sorry for the trouble connecting to our site!
Regards,
My3cents Team

I'm still researching possible problems and coming up with no answers. I am using centurytel.net but I can use neighbor's pc (same isp) with no problem. Other isp's also connect with no problem. Only pc's at our residence are unable to connect. I ruled out a Windows problem by trying to access the site in UBUNTU. No luck there either. I do intend to try a proxy server as soon as I have the time to read up on their use.

Attention my3 cents team. Do you have an email address that I can access? I did some further checking and found I am not alone with this problem using centurytel.net in our area. The neighbor "forgot" to tell me he was using charter, not centurytel any longer, so his ability to connect wasn't relevant. From centurytel "The only thing that could be result in this issue is if the admins of that site made some kind of DNS change and our DNS servers haven't refreshed yet. This automatically happens every 1-3 days, depending on the equipment and the area. "
Another couple of days won't change anything given the access has been unavailable almost 3 weeks now.

It appears the problem is related to users who have IP addresses that were recently on the BOGON list.
The Bogon list is a reserved range of IP addresses that get blocked by network routers since they are often abused by spammers, etc. However occasionally some of the IP ranges get released for public use.
Unfortunately not all network routers/ISP's update their lists in real time, hence some folks who find their home computer IP to be one that was recently released from Bogon may have trouble accessing some sites based on where those sites are physically located.
In this case, it appears that a router some where between our server and the user had not updated their Bogon list, and was blocking the user since their IP was still thought to be on the Bogon list.
The only solution we have found is to request a new IP address from your ISP that was NOT recently released from the Bogon list. That seemed to fix the problem for the few other cases we have seen like this.
Hope this information helps!
Regards,
My3cents Team
